We use two privacy-focused analytics tools — Umami and Matomo — to understand how visitors interact with our site. Both tools are self-hosted on our own servers (no data leaves to third-party cloud services). They record:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring website or search engine
- Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
- Country (derived from anonymised IP address — the full IP is not stored)
Neither tool uses cookies or cross-site tracking. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Contact form submissions — to reply to your message and discuss your project requirements. We do not use your contact details for marketing without your explicit consent.
- Analytics data — to improve the performance, content, and usability of our website.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own use.
3. Third-Party Services
Our website uses the following external services:
- Google Fonts — if a custom web font is enabled, your browser may make a request to Google's servers to download the font file. Google's Privacy Policy applies to that request.
- Paystack — if you proceed to a payment (hotel bookings), Paystack processes card data directly on their platform. We never see or store your card details. Paystack's Privacy Policy applies to all payment transactions.
4. Cookies
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics tools (Umami and Matomo) are configured without cookies. The only cookies our server may set are strictly functional session cookies required for admin access — these are never set for regular visitors.
5. Data Storage and Security
Contact form submissions are stored in an encrypted SQLite database on our hosting server. Access to this data is restricted to authorised personnel only and protected by password authentication. We retain form submission records for a maximum of two years, after which they are permanently deleted.
Our website enforces HTTPS on all connections. We apply security headers
including X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options,
Referrer-Policy, and HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS).
6. Your Rights (NDPR)
Under Nigeria's National Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) you have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you
- Request a copy of your data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based
